What Is Love?

Love can be the greatest feeling in the world, but it can also be utterly devastating if it doesn't work. It can lead to some of the most horrible feelings in the world, and even be foolish, and we may think that it is the best thing in our lives, the only thing worth living for. [Sources: 12, 16]

Depending on your personality and experience, your idea of love differs slightly or greatly from that of others. Let us therefore allow there to be very different kinds of "love" and let us use the word love, and let us put it this way, let us use it in different ways, with different meanings and interpretations. The types of loved ones we can feel, the way we feel loved and the way we show it, think differently about what love is and what is not. Our experience and understanding of love will vary depending on the aspects of love we are thinking about. [Sources: 0, 10, 11]

The attitude to love can range from loving love to falling in love, from joy to anger, and it can be felt when we are happy, sad, angry, confused, excited, etc. The individual human experience of love is the Great Love which is unifying by nature, but there is a difficult thing with love. [Sources: 7, 11]

Different people have different definitions and experiences of love, and the different experiences of all with love shape what love means to them. That is why the definition of "love" is so complicated; it takes different forms and can be defined in different ways. When we understand love and how to love someone in return, we need to start by knowing what works as the definition of love. Here are some of the different ways we can define love: experts explain what love is exactly, but of course it goes beyond that. [Sources: 5, 7, 8]

I think when we start with this definition, it becomes clear why so many people have difficulty understanding what love is. The Christian virtue of love and whatever we say about it, we must be aware that the love that God commands us is the love that imitates his own. To understand who we are and what the meaning of "love" is, we really need to understand what keeps us from love. [Sources: 3, 10, 15]

If love means that the other person acts and speaks as we want, then it is fully conditional. When we are able to love people who deserve our love, the reality is that this does not motivate us to "love" them. Real love motivates us with the hope that good will lead to the life of the person we love. If we allow someone to be exactly what he is, even if he is not good enough for us or if we are better off without us, love can only be complete acceptance. For those of us who are different from you, it's about loving who you are and not how you are. [Sources: 3, 14]

The beauty of love is that it doesn't have to be limited to romantic partners and family, but to friends, family and friends of friends. [Sources: 3]

When love is about connection, it can be more powerful than we ever thought possible, even without a romantic relationship. The relationship, in which space is created for life and love beyond the boundaries of the couple, is the highest form of human love, because it makes the best life possible. [Sources: 1, 9]

The third kind of love, practical love, is the terrible discrepancy that we can feel between what love can be and what it cannot be. [Sources: 11]

The group of feelings associated with the word "love" is understood and can be expressed towards the other, but the person in love can also be described as an agape. The love of parents is often described with this word because many parents love their babies no matter what, and expect nothing or very little in return. God is love because he is God and not only loves us, he is also God, which means, I tell you what we already know about love: love is from God. [Sources: 2, 4, 6]

It is love that requires no reciprocity and that the beloved person deserves. It is the same good feeling that the love of each one gives us, because receiving the love of another has the power to make us feel good. Love is what we experience when we love someone who is so good that we cannot judge him, neither about him, nor about him. [Sources: 3, 14]

It should also be noted, however, that if we admit that love can have causes and that a person's special qualities can explain why we love it, our love is therefore rational. Many of us have good reasons to love those who love us, which shows that sometimes it is actually quite rational! [Sources: 12]

However, we can sum up what we love and what love means to us, and for most people it means love. The word "love" can be used as an expression of affection for another person ("I love chocolate"), but it also expresses joy. [Sources: 4, 6, 13]
